Language courses graduates

CHISINAU, December 24th, 2014 – Graduates of language courses within the Linguistic Center of the Armed Forces Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun” received graduation certificates during a festive ceremony.

Commander (rector) of the Armed Forces Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun” colonel Mihail Bucliş, congratulated the graduates mentioning that language instruction is an essential part of the training process and career development of military personnel.

According to the acting chief of Linguistic Center, captain Ala Sofronovici, English, German and French courses last for 20 weeks and focus on developing the four skills of language performance (reading, listening, speaking, and writing) with the final course assessment, in accordance with STANAG 6001 criteria, using the bi-level STANAG tests 1-2 and 2-3.

The same source pointed out that 42 graduates have completed intensive courses of which 26 have graduated English language course, and nine students have graduated German language course.

For the first time, the Linguistic Center organized and conducted intensive basic French course, having seven graduates.

The linguistic Centre of the Armed Forces Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun”, so far, has trained about 1020 military personnel in foreign languages (English, German, and French) with emphasis on English language.
