Brigadier General (r) Nicolae Petrica had a meeting with the military students
CHISINAU, February 13th, 2015 – Brigadier General (r) Nicolae Petrica visited today the Armed Forces Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun” where he had a meeting with students.
The commander (rector) of the Armed Forces Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun” colonel Mihail Bucliş said that it is an honor to have as a guest one of the participants in the Afghanistan conflict, who knows the reality of that period, allows the younger generation to know the historical past. The meeting was organized within the framework of the days of remembrance of the fallen heroes of call of duty, on the battlefield in Afghanistan.
The meeting was held in the days of commemoration of the heroes that died on the Afghanistan battlefields.
During the event, the guest discussed with the military students about the tragic events which marked the period from 1979 to 1989, years of bloodshed in the Afghanistan war. On February 15th 2015 we celebrate 26 years since the retreat of Soviet Union troops from Afghanistan, when more than 300 Moldovan military passed away.
