The Military Academy championship in weightlifting
CHIŞINĂU, February 14 to 15, 2017 – Within the Armed Forces Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun” was conducted the championship in weightlifting category of 70-75 kg, 80-85 kg, 85 kg +.
At the opening ceremony of the championship was present the acting commandant (rector) Armed Forces Military Academy, colonel Gheorghe Ţurcanu who wished success to the participants, stressing that “Sport is an important section in physical and mental development of each military that claims to be truly professional military.”
According to deputy chief Military Art Department – lecturer (level I) – lieutenant-colonel Emil Guţu, such activities are carried out annually, and the main objective is the promotion of a healthy lifestyle for students and military personnel of the Military Academy.
The weightlifting championship was held between battalion education companies. Thus, the first place was won by the fourth company, the second place was won by the second company and the third one was won by the third company.
The weightlifting championship of the Armed Forces Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun” is held annually, and it is organized by the Faculty of Military Sciences.
