Militaries trained for the Security Zone of the Republic of Moldova

CHISINAU, October 13, 2017 – A group of 20 National Army soldiers have received the certificates of graduation of the National Army officers’ training course planned to carry out missions in the Security Zone of the Republic of Moldova as military observers and chief officers of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces (FMMP), organized by the Continuous Training Centre of the Armed Forces Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun”.
Attending the event, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Mr. Aurel Fondos handed out the graduation certificates and also congratulated the military staff on the successful graduation of the course, stating that the studies offered would be of real use for the deployment of the officers in the Security Zone, where they will perform their missions at the highest level.
The commandant (rector) of the Military Academy, colonel Sergiu Plop, wished graduates to achieve professional achievements and thanked both the Ministry of Defence and the Continuous Training Centre for organizing and conducting the course.
According to lieutenant-colonel Ion Cozma, the head of the Continuous Training Centre, the course took place between 02 and 13 October and aims to improve the knowledge and practical skills of the National Army officers who will execute the military service in the Security Zone of the Republic of Moldova as military observers or senior officers of the FMMP Command, to develop a sense of responsibility and patriotism in the accomplishment of the mission, the ability to make appropriate decisions in a short time, in crisis situations, psychological and ideological pressures.
This course was carried out by the Continuous Training Centre in support with instructors from the Ministry of Defence, the General Staff of the National Army, as well as from different national structures.
