Military students are ready to participate in Cambrian Patrol 2017 international competition

CHISINAU, October 10, 2017 – The team of the Armed Forces Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun” expected to take part in the International Cambrian Patrol competition has left today in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The commandant (rector) of the Military Academy, colonel Sergiu Plop, wanted to thank the students for their success, saying they are the ones who will represent the National Army for the first time.
According to the commandant, the students were prepared for competition at the National Army training centres, being trained and tested by Northern Ireland militaries. The training started in November last year, during which students carried out field-guiding missions, patrolling and research, crossing the watercourse, as well as providing medical help and evacuating the wounded.
Also, on Monday, October 9, the participating team had a meeting with Mrs. Lucy Joyce, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Moldova, with its headquarter in Chisinau, where Mrs. Joyce witnessed the training of the military and encouraged them by expressing her trust in the participating team.
The International Military Patrol Competition is held annually in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the Cambrian Mountains and this year will take place from 10 to 23 October, with 40 countries participating.
