Cadets from U.S.A. visit Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun”
Chisinau, May 24, 2013 – In the period of May 22 to June 12, this year, a group of cadets from the United States of America visits Moldova, especially the Armed Forces Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun”, from May 22 to June 12 this year.
The Interim Commandant (rector) of the Armed Forces Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun” Colonel Sergiu Timercan said that American cadets visit is very important. During this period, the young American cadets will have the opportunity to become familiar with the specific of military studies and the living conditions of military students from the Republic of Moldova. American cadets and Moldovan military students will participate in theoretical and practical sessions, conferences, military applications and firings. Also in this period the American cadets will have lessons for studying the state language. According to the plan, there are expected meetings with veterans of the World War II, the Transnistrian conflict and Iraq operations participants. Also, the American cadets will know the traditions and customs of our people, Colonel Sergiu Timercan said.
According to the organizers, the young people will visit various worship places, architectural monuments and they will participate in various cultural and educational activities.
During their visit, the military guests will be guided by the Moldovan military students and together they will participate in a series of planned activities during their stay in the Republic of Moldova.
During the visit the cadets will take part in a social project in Cojuşna.
