The exercise “Peace Shield 2013″ended in Bulboacă
CHISINAU, On the 4th of July, this year – The Command and a part of the emploees of the Military Academy of Armed Forces, “Alexandru cel Bun “, participated in peacekeeping exercise “Peace Shield 2013 “, which ended at the military training base Bulboacă today.
Applications were carried out with the aim of preparing the moldovan militaries of the battery mortars Battalion 22 of peacekeeping under the Operational Capabilities Concept (CCO).
The Defence Minister Vitalie Marinuta, present at the event, was pleased of the cooperation between the militaries of the Mechanized Brigade 15 from Iasi and those of the Battalion 22 peacekeeping.
Militaries were evaluated by two OCC experts from the Ukraine and Italy, as well as by 12 national observers, including observers from the Military Academy of Armed Forces, “Alexandru cel Bun “.
The exercise “Peace Shield 2013” was attended by over 150militaries, including 24 militaries from the Romanian Army.
Infantry subunits have made about 25 tactical peacekeeping situations at various training places.
Peacekeepers have fulfilled such missions as patrolling in the area of responsibility, medical evacuation, technical machines, guarding strategic objectives, interventions attack scenarios and regime ensuring at the control points.
Also within the exercise, for the first time there was presented and tested a new command and control system “FALCON”.
