The inferior leaders training course (platoon commander level) was successfully completed

CHIŞINĂU, May 31, 2017 – A group of 30 National Army soldiers successfully completed the training course for the lower leaders (platoon commander level), organized and carried out, from May 8 to 31, by the Continuous Training Centre of the Armed Forces Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun”.

Honorary guests at the course’s graduation ceremony were the Deputy Chief of National Army General Staff, Director General Staff of the National Army colonel Eduard Ohladciuc, and the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, with headquarters at Chişinău, Lucy Joyce.

            Colonel Eduard Ohladciuc underlined that the course organized and carried out by the British Council of Consulting and Training (BMATT) mainly aims at training the National Army Command and skills development for junior officers body using advanced procedures in military actions.

Mrs. Ambassador noted that the bilateral relations between the Moldovan and United Kingdom defence ministries have considerably strengthened through a series of training initiatives in the last period. For the first time in bilateral military cooperation, the British Advisory and Training Team has prepared a group of inferior officers as leaders and instructors for the National Army of the Republic of Moldova.

          Attending the event, the acting commandant (rector) of the Armed Forces Military Academy, colonel Gheorghe Ţurcanu spoke about the importance of the aforementioned course and thanked both the British instructors and the Ambassador for their support to the Military Academy.

The initiative for organizing and conducting this course is determined by the cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
